LocalClap ("we", "us", "our") operates the LocalClap mobile application (the "App"), which connects users with local service professionals for home cleaning, AC repair, fridge repair, electrician services, plumbing services, and related home maintenance solutions.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly in accordance with applicable laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and other relevant regulations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal data when you download, access, or use the App.
By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide Directly

- Service booking details: Service type (e.g., home cleaning, AC repair), address/location for service, preferred date/time, special instructions
- Payment information: UPI ID, payment method details (processed securely via third-party gateways — we do not store full card details)
- Communications: Messages, feedback, ratings, reviews, photos/videos you upload related to services

- Device information: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, IP address, mobile network information
- Location data: Precise location (GPS) when you enable it for finding nearby service providers or tracking service progress (with your consent)
- Usage data: App interactions, pages viewed, time spent, booking history, crash logs, performance data
c. Information from Third Parties
- Payment gateways and verification services (for secure transactions and KYC if required)
- Google Maps or similar services (for location and address validation)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account
- To match you with suitable local service professionals
- To process bookings, schedule services, facilitate communication between you and the service provider
- To process payments and issue invoices/receipts
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, status updates, OTPs, and service-related notifications

3. How We Share Your Information
We share your personal data only in these limited cases:
- With service professionals: Your name, phone number, service address, and booking details so they can contact you and provide the service
- With payment processors: To complete transactions (they follow their own privacy policies)
- With third-party service providers: Cloud hosting, analytics (e.g., Firebase, Google Analytics), push notifications, mapping services — under strict confidentiality agreements
- For legal reasons: If required by law, court order, government authority, or to protect our rights, safety, or property
- In case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets: Your data may be transferred as a business asset
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
